Friday Night at Nana & Poppy's House

Last weekend was Andy's last basketball game so that meant back to our Friday night routine. Andy and Ben came to spend the night Friday night. The boys were so excited because when they got to my house they had new Super Hero Capes to wear. Last weekend Andy told me he needed a new cape. Then he proceeded to tell me that he wanted one side orange and the other side black. He also wanted a crab on it and under the crab he wanted it to say 'Crabman'. Ben told me he wanted his cape to be blue on one side and black on the other and he wanted Batman on his.

Here's a couple of pictures of Ben and Andy modeling their new Super Hero Capes.

I made a yummy home made hamburger pizza for dinner but Andy wanted a peanut butter sandwich, cut in 4 triangles and Ben wanted 10 peanut butter cracker sandwiches. The pizza was delicious and Poppy and I enjoyed it very much.
.
After dinner the boys watched "Ben 10". There were at least 6 episodes on 'On Demand'. They watched all of them. Around 8:30 I got them ready for bed. By 9:00 they were both sound asleep.
.
Saturday morning they were up by 7 am and of course so was Nana. Poppy had already gotten up and left around 6:30 to go to his shop and release a car. Poppy spent the rest of the day with about 75 other people at our church doing some Spring Cleaning. Marcy, Andy, Ben and I went to a baby shower for one of my friend's daughter in law. Later Saturday afternoon Marcy, Andy, Ben, LeAnn, Brody and I went to Stride Rite to get new shoes. They were having a sale, buy one pair and get the next pair 1/2 off so all 3 of my grandsons got 2 pairs of shoes and some socks.

(Brody loved the shoelaces!)

And he's walking! This past week Brody has really started walking. Yesterday afternoon at Marcy's house he walked straight to me. Brody looks so cute in his new shoes.

.
After we finished up at the shoe store we met up with Brandon and we all went to eat at El Paseos in Keller. They have the best chicken enchiladas!
.
Last Wednesday my baby boy turned 30 years old! I can not believe it! Since he was busy at school all week with track we celebrated today with me cooking lunch for him. I let Brandon pick all the foods he wanted me to cook. He picked brisket, baked beans, corn casserole, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, rolls and 4 layer chocolate dessert. My daughter in law's parents also joined us for lunch. All of the adults were still sitting at the table talking and Brody came around the corner of the sofa walking like 'Frankenstein'. He is just the cutest little walker!

It has been a rainy day. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same. I plan to stay home tomorrow and do laundry and a little house cleaning. Then when I am finished you can find me in my sewing room!
